In Easy mode, both the Library and Hint buttons are active. You can press 1to open the Library or 2 for a hint. This mode is perfect for beginners. It gives you full support so you can learn characters, check answers, and build confidence while playing.
In Medium mode, only the Library button is available, so you'll need to rely more on memory. This is a great next step if you've already practiced the basics and want a mild challenge.
Hard mode disables both the Library 1and Hint 2 buttons. You'll need to answer without any help. This is the best option if you're ready to test your skills, speed, and accuracy using only what you've learned. No shortcuts, just memory.
To add a new player, click the dropdown and select New Player from the list. A modal window will appear where you can enter a name and confirm. After adding the player, their name will appear in the dropdown list, and you can start using it right away. This makes it easy to switch between different users while playing or tracking progress.

This number shows how many characters you've answered so far. It helps track your progress as you go through the list. The total count is shown beside it, so you can see how close you are to finishing. Each time you answer a character, the number updates. Use this to stay motivated and aim for a full completion of all characters.
The character shown here is the one you need to type. Look closely at its shape and try to recognize it before typing your answer. Each time you get it right, a new one will appear. This helps train your memory and recognition skills as you progress.
Type your answer in the box shown above. This is where you write the Romaji that matches the character on the screen. After typing, press Enter to submit. If you get it right, the next character will load. This helps you practice recall and typing speed in real time. Use hints or the library if they're available in your selected mode.
Press 1 to open library.
The Library helps you review all the characters in the current set. You can open it anytime by clicking the icon or pressing1 on your keyboard. This is useful for checking unfamiliar characters or double-checking answers while learning. It's available in Easy and Medium modes.
Press 2 to use hint.
The Hint tool gives you a clue for the current character. Press 2or click the icon to see a small hint that helps you figure out the correct answer. It's a helpful tool when you're unsure, but it's only available in Easy mode to support new learners.
TAP to Resume.
The stopwatch starts automatically when you begin typing in the input box. It tracks how long you take to answer all the characters. If you switch to another tab or window, the timer pauses to keep things fair. When you return to the app, it resumes right where you left off. This helps measure your real focus and typing speed during practice.

This table shows all your previous answers in order. Each row displays whether your answer was correct, the Japanese character shown, and the Romaji you entered. Use this to review your mistakes and keep track of your progress. You can scroll through the list and click the refresh icon to clear your history and start fresh.
Press 3 to restart.
Pressing 3or clicking the restart icon resets the game. This will clear your progress and timer so you can begin again from the first character. It's useful if you want a clean practice run or switch players. Make sure to restart only when you're ready to start over.
This table shows your best completion times for each session. It automatically saves your fastest records so you can track your improvement over time. Each entry includes the time and the date it was recorded. You can sort the table by time or date to compare runs more easily. You can also switch between Best Lap and Best Streaks to see different types of records based on your performance.
